At this year’s Automotive Interiors Expo in Stuttgart, PolyOne will display its range of specialized polymers, colors and additives that enable vehicle manufacturers to enhance sustainability in several ways: by reducing part weight, streamlining production processes or using more recycled materials.
Highlights include a range of new materials with innovative lightweight fillers and chemical foaming agents that reduce density by up to 25% and offer excellent surface appearance and dimensional stability; glossy metallic-effect colorants that replace the need for secondary painting processes and enhance vehicle interior aesthetics; and post-industrial recycled nylon formulations, made with 20-100% recycled nylon content and providing performance comparable to prime nylon grades while aligning with the circular economy.
